Aquaworld was pleased to host a local company’s Christmas party this week. As the festive season aproaches many local companies hold parties for their employees as a way of thanks for all their hard work. These are called posadas and actually have a more traditional meaning than a staff Xmas bash. Aquaworld se complace en ser anfitrión de la fiesta de navidad de una empresa local esta semana. A medida que la temporada de fiestas esta encima, muchas empresas locales organizan fiestas para sus empleados como una forma de agradecimiento por todo su duro trabajo. Estos se llaman posadas y en realidad tienen un significado más tradicional que una fiesta de Navidad del personal. The posada period begins on the 16th December and finishes on the 24th (Xmas Eve). Nine days to correspond with the nine months of pregnancy. Traditionally the celebration of the run up to Christmas took place within your local neighbourhood where a party would be planned. The hosts of the party act as inn keepers and the remaining adults and children from the local area are the pilgrims. The pilgrims walk from house to house requesting lodging and are refused entrance until they arrive at the house where the party is held – the inn keepers then let them in after the traditional posada song…
