Tourists from all over the world disembark onto the Yucatán coastline for its remarkable snorkeling and diving tours in the world’s second largest reef system. For one small group of tourists from Colorado, their adventure snorkeling in Isla Mujeres was an extraordinary one.   During the months of June, July and August whale sharks are known to arrive to the area where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet to feed on the abundant supply of plankton carried by the shifting current.
